SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF QOS MANAGEMENT OF WLAN DEVICES - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18082293 titled 'SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF QOS MANAGEMENT OF WLAN DEVICES

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a device with one or more processors that can receive quality of service (QoS) information from a first device via a transceiver. The processors can then transmit a frame to an access point (AP) wirelessly, including address information of the first device and the QoS information.

  • Explanation of the patent/innovation:

- Device with processors receiving QoS information from a first device - Transmission of frame to AP with address and QoS information wirelessly

  • Potential applications of this technology:

- Wireless communication systems - Network optimization for improved QoS

  • Problems solved by this technology:

- Efficient transmission of QoS information - Seamless communication between devices and APs

  • Benefits of this technology:

- Enhanced network performance - Better user experience with optimized QoS

  • Potential commercial applications of this technology:

- Telecommunications companies - Internet service providers

  • Possible prior art:

- Prior art may include similar wireless communication systems with QoS optimization features.

Questions:

1. How does this technology improve network performance? 2. What are the specific protocols used for transmitting QoS information in this innovation?

Original Abstract Submitted

A device may one or more processors. The one or more processors may be configured to receive, via a transceiver from a first device, quality of service (QoS) information for traffic between the first device and an access point (AP). The one or more processors may be configured to wirelessly transmit, via the transceiver to the AP, a frame including address information of the first device and the QoS information.
