An information handling system camera has an extruded aluminum housing that holds an inner frame supporting an image sensor assembled without the use of screws so that the camera readily disassembles to recycle or repair. A planar spring lock holds the camera assembly with flanges that fit into slots of the camera housing to engage the inner frame. The flanges release when a press of the planar spring lock into a recess of the housing biases the flange lip away from a catch of the inner frame.
