An information handling system display has a frame with magnets to couple a display panel in place by the magnets interacting with ferromagnetic material at the rear side of the display panel. Contactless connectors coupled to a scalar board in the frame and to the rear side of the display communicate visual information from the scalar board to the display panel for presentation as visual images. The display panel assembles to the frame by magnetic attraction to have the contactless connectors and power interfaces aligned. Repair of the display panel is performed by separating the display panel from the frame magnetic attraction and coupling a replacement display panel in the place of a defective display panel.
