ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING CONDUCTIVE FIXING MEMBER - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17887834 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING CONDUCTIVE FIXING MEMBER

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an electronic device with a housing, coaxial cable, fixing member, and an electrical/electronic component. The fixing member is made of a conductive material and is used to connect the coaxial cable and a flexible printed circuit board to the housing.

  • The electronic device has a housing with a front surface, rear surface, and side structure.
  • A coaxial cable is partially placed inside the housing.
  • A fixing member made of a conductive material surrounds a portion of the coaxial cable within the housing.
  • An electrical/electronic component is located inside the housing and includes a body portion and a flexible printed circuit board extending from it.
  • The fixing member is designed to establish an electrical connection between the coaxial cable and the flexible printed circuit board through the housing.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Mobile phones and smartphones
  • Tablets and laptops
  • Televisions and monitors
  • Wireless communication devices

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Ensures a secure and reliable electrical connection between the coaxial cable and the flexible printed circuit board.
  • Provides protection and support for the coaxial cable within the housing.
  • Simplifies the assembly process of the electronic device.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved signal transmission and reception due to the reliable electrical connection.
  • Enhanced durability and stability of the coaxial cable within the housing.
  • Streamlined manufacturing process for electronic devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device may comprise: a housing including a front surface facing a first direction, a rear surface facing in a second direction opposite to the first direction, and a side structure including a side surface at least partially surrounding a space between the front surface and the rear surface, a coaxial cable at least partially disposed in the housing, a fixing member comprising a conductive material having electrical conductivity and disposed in the housing surrounding at least a portion of the coaxial cable, and an electrical/electronic component disposed in the housing and including a body portion at least partially disposed in the housing and a flexible printed circuit board extending from the body portion. The fixing member may be configured to electrically connect the coaxial cable and the flexible printed circuit board with the housing.
