COMPENSATION CIRCUIT FOR ADJUSTING RATIO OF COINCIDENCE COUNTS OF DATA PATTERNS, AND MEMORY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME, AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17866933 titled 'COMPENSATION CIRCUIT FOR ADJUSTING RATIO OF COINCIDENCE COUNTS OF DATA PATTERNS, AND MEMORY DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME, AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a compensation circuit that analyzes a stream of data and calculates compensation values to ensure that the count values and compensation values are even. Here is a simplified explanation of the patent:

  • The compensation circuit includes a data analyzer that receives a stream of bits.
  • The data analyzer counts the number of times each pattern of a certain size appears in the bit stream.
  • The data analyzer generates a pattern stream that includes the count values for each pattern.
  • A compensation calculator then determines compensation values for each pattern based on the pattern stream.
  • The compensation values are determined in such a way that when multiplied with the count values, the results are even.
  • The values "N" and "M" represent natural numbers, where "N" is the total number of bits in the stream and "M" is a smaller number representing the size of each pattern.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Data analysis and compensation in communication systems.
  • Error correction in digital storage devices.
  • Pattern recognition in image processing.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Ensures even distribution of compensation values for accurate data analysis.
  • Provides a method for compensating for patterns in a bit stream.
  • Helps in maintaining data integrity and reducing errors.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved accuracy in data analysis.
  • Enhanced error correction capabilities.
  • Efficient pattern recognition in various applications.

Original Abstract Submitted

Disclosed is a compensation circuit which includes a data analyzer that receives a first bit stream including first to N-th bits, counts a number of times of coincidence of each of first to 2-th patterns each having an M-bit size from the first bit stream, and generates a first pattern stream including first to 2-th count values each corresponding to the number of times of coincidence of each of the first to 2-th patterns, and a compensation calculator that determines first to 2-th compensation values based on the first pattern stream such that results of multiplying the first to 2-th count values and the first to 2-th compensation values one-to-one are even. “N” is a natural number, and “M” is a natural number smaller than “N”.
