The first non-AP device transmits, to the AP device, a request frame for a virtual multiple link operation between the AP device and the first non-AP device. The first non-AP device receives a response frame from the AP device in response to the request frame. A first wireless link between the AP device and the first non-AP device is set up. A virtual link between the AP device and the first non-AP device is set up. The virtual link includes a second wireless link between the AP device and the second non-AP device and a communication link between the second non-AP device and the first non-AP device. The first non-AP device communicates with the AP device via the first wireless link and the virtual link.
