INTER-BASE STATION CROSS-LINK INTERFERENCE CHANNEL MEASUREMENTS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17544692 titled 'INTER-BASE STATION CROSS-LINK INTERFERENCE CHANNEL MEASUREMENTS
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications. It focuses on addressing cross-link interference (CLI) in wireless communication systems.
- The first base station receives a set of reference signals from aggressor base stations, which are causing interference with its uplink signals.
- The first base station identifies the second base station by analyzing the reference signals received from each aggressor base station.
- The first base station measures the reference signals to obtain CLI channel measurements and transmits a measurement report indicating the CLI channel measurements.
- The first base station, the second base station, or both can perform CLI mitigation procedures based on the CLI channel measurements.
Potential Applications
- Wireless communication systems
- Cellular networks
- Internet of Things (IoT) networks
Problems Solved
- Cross-link interference (CLI) in wireless communication systems
- Identifying the base station causing interference
- Mitigating CLI to improve overall communication performance
Benefits
- Improved wireless communication quality
- Enhanced performance of base stations
- Reduction in interference and signal degradation
Original Abstract Submitted
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a first base station may receive, from one or more aggressor base stations, a first set of reference signals associated with cross-link interference (CLI) channel measurements. The first base station may identify the second base station based on receiving a second set of reference signals from each aggressor base station from the set, where each aggressor base station transmits downlink signals that interfere with uplink signals at the first base station. The first base station may measure the first set of reference signals to obtain a CLI channel measurement and transmit a measurement report indicating the CLI channel measurements. In some examples, the first base station, the second base station, or both may perform one or more CLI mitigation procedures based on the CLI channel measurements.
