INDICATING SUBBAND CONFIGURATIONS BETWEEN NETWORK ENTITIES - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17887398 titled 'INDICATING SUBBAND CONFIGURATIONS BETWEEN NETWORK ENTITIES
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes techniques for indicating subband configurations between network entities in a communication system.
- Network entities can receive indications of time or frequency locations of uplink or downlink subbands for cells operating with subband full duplex (SBFD) or subband half duplex communications.
- Interference mitigation (IM) can be performed while receiving an uplink transmission based on the indication.
Potential Applications
- Wireless communication systems
- Cellular networks
- Internet of Things (IoT) devices
Problems Solved
- Interference in subband communications
- Efficient use of spectrum resources
- Improved network performance
Benefits
- Enhanced communication reliability
- Increased data throughput
- Better quality of service for users
Original Abstract Submitted
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for indicating subband configurations between network entities. An example method that may be performed by a network entity includes receiving an indication of at least one of time or frequency locations of at least one uplink (UL) subband or at least one downlink (DL) subband for a cell operating with subband full duplex (SBFD) communications or subband half duplex communications; and performing interference mitigation (IM) while receiving an UL transmission, based on the indication.
