METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING UPLINK TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240137934 titled 'METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING UPLINK TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a method and apparatus for uplink transmission in a wireless communication system. The method involves receiving configuration information from a base station, receiving a unicast physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or a multicast PDSCH from the base station in a serving cell, and transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) information to the base station regarding the received PDSCH. The HARQ-ACK information may be transmitted using a PUCCH resource of another serving cell if a multicast PDSCH is received in the first serving cell.

  • Method for performing uplink transmission in a wireless communication system
  • Steps include receiving configuration information, receiving PDSCH, and transmitting HARQ-ACK information
  • HARQ-ACK information may be transmitted using a PUCCH resource of another serving cell
  • Improves efficiency and reliability of uplink transmission in wireless communication systems

Potential Applications

This technology can be applied in various wireless communication systems to enhance uplink transmission efficiency and reliability.

Problems Solved

Original Abstract Submitted

disclosed are a method and apparatus for performing uplink transmission in a wireless communication system. the method by which a terminal performs uplink transmission, according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, comprises the steps of: receiving, from a base station, configuration information related to at least one serving cell; receiving a unicast physical downlink shared channel (pdsch) or a multicast pdsch from the base station in a first serving cell of a secondary physical uplink control channel (pucch) group from among the at least one serving cell; and transmitting, to the base station, hybrid automatic repeat request (harq)-acknowledgement (ack) information regarding the unicast pd sch or the first multicast pdsch, wherein on the basis that the multicast pdsch is received from the base station in the first serving cell, the harq-ack information may be transmitted to the base station by using a pucch resource of a second serving cell of a primary pucch group from among the at least one serving cell.
