COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract
This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18541050 titled 'COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
Simplified Explanation
The patent application describes a communication method and apparatus that involve mapping signals to subcarrier blocks for transmitting reference signals.
- Signals are mapped to M subcarrier blocks, where each block includes Q subcarriers.
- Signals mapped to consecutive subcarriers at the rear location in a subcarrier block are the same as signals mapped to consecutive subcarriers at the front location in a different subcarrier block.
- Signals transmitted on reference signal subcarrier blocks are jointly designed, forming a cyclic redundancy characteristic in the blocks.
Potential Applications
This technology could be applied in wireless communication systems, such as 5G networks, to improve signal transmission efficiency and reliability.
Problems Solved
This technology helps in optimizing the mapping of signals to subcarrier blocks, ensuring better signal quality and reducing interference in communication systems.
Benefits
- Enhanced signal transmission efficiency - Improved reliability in wireless communication - Reduced interference in signal transmission
Potential Commercial Applications
Optimized signal mapping techniques could be valuable for telecommunications companies, network equipment manufacturers, and other entities involved in wireless communication technology.
Possible Prior Art
One possible prior art could be research or patents related to signal mapping and optimization in wireless communication systems.

Original Abstract Submitted
A communication method and apparatus. A plurality of signals included in a first sequence to M subcarrier blocks used to transmit a reference signal are mapped, where an msubcarrier block includes Qsubcarriers, and a plurality of signals mapped to a plurality of consecutive subcarriers at a rear location in the msubcarrier block are the same as a plurality of signals mapped to a plurality of consecutive subcarriers at a front location in a (mod(m, M)+1)subcarrier block. Signals transmitted on a plurality of reference signal subcarrier blocks are jointly designed, and a cyclic redundancy characteristic is formed in the plurality of reference signal (for example, PTRS) subcarrier blocks.
