ELECTRIC JUNCTION BOX UNIT - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 18451765 titled 'ELECTRIC JUNCTION BOX UNIT

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes an electric junction box unit with a unique interference portion that affects the positioning of the cover when the electric wires with terminals are assembled in a different position than usual.

  • Electric junction box unit with interference portion:
   * Includes an electric junction box with stud bolts, electric wires with terminals, and a cover.
   * The interference portion disrupts the cover's placement when the electric wires with terminals are not in their normal position on the stud bolts.

Potential Applications

The technology could be applied in various industries where electric junction boxes are used, such as automotive, aerospace, and electronics manufacturing.

Problems Solved

1. Ensures proper assembly of electric wires with terminals in the junction box. 2. Prevents incorrect positioning of the cover, which could lead to safety hazards or malfunction.

Benefits

1. Improved safety and reliability in electrical connections. 2. Simplified installation process for electric junction boxes. 3. Enhanced durability and longevity of the junction box unit.

Potential Commercial Applications

Optimizing Electric Junction Box Unit for Enhanced Safety and Reliability

Possible Prior Art

No prior art information is available at this time.

Unanswered Questions

How does the interference portion specifically prevent the cover from being placed incorrectly?

The exact mechanism by which the interference portion disrupts the cover's positioning is not detailed in the abstract. Further information on the design and functionality of this feature would provide clarity.

Are there any alternative methods to achieve the same result without using an interference portion?

Exploring other potential solutions or technologies that could address the issue of cover misplacement in electric junction boxes would offer a broader perspective on the problem-solving approach in this field.

Original Abstract Submitted

There is provided an electric junction box unit including: an electric junction box having a plurality of stud bolts; a plurality of electric wire with terminals each including a terminal and an electric wire and fastened to a corresponding one of the plurality of stud bolts; and a cover to which at least one of the plurality of electric wire with terminals is assembled. The electric junction box includes an interference portion that interferes with at least a part of the cover when the electric wire with terminals assembled to the cover are disposed at a position different from a normal position where one of the electric wire with terminals is fastened to the corresponding stud bolt.
