SUPPORT FOR TEST DEVICE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 20240009674 titled 'SUPPORT FOR TEST DEVICE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes a support holder for a test device. The holder consists of a base with two sets of sidewalls, where the second set is longer than the first set. The sidewalls create a cavity in the base to hold the test device. The base also has projections that are associated with leg portions. One of the first set sidewalls has a center notch between two corner portions, and another sidewall of the first set has a removable portion to cover an opening in the base.

  • The support holder is designed to securely hold a test device in place.
  • The longer second set of sidewalls allows for larger test devices to be accommodated.
  • The cavity in the base provides a surface for the test device to rest on.
  • The projections on the base are associated with leg portions, providing stability to the holder.
  • The center notch on one of the sidewalls allows for easy access to the test device.
  • The removable portion on another sidewall allows for convenient opening and closing of the holder.

Potential Applications

  • This support holder can be used in various industries that require testing of devices, such as electronics, automotive, or medical.
  • It can be utilized in laboratories, manufacturing facilities, or research institutions for testing and analysis purposes.

Problems Solved

  • The support holder solves the problem of securely holding a test device in place during testing or analysis.
  • The longer second set of sidewalls addresses the issue of accommodating larger test devices that may not fit in holders with shorter sidewalls.
  • The center notch and removable portion provide easy access to the test device, simplifying the process of placing or removing it from the holder.

Benefits

  • The support holder ensures stability and prevents movement of the test device during testing, leading to accurate and reliable results.
  • The ability to accommodate larger test devices increases the versatility and flexibility of the holder.
  • The easy access provided by the center notch and removable portion saves time and effort in handling the test device.
  • The support holder's design allows for efficient organization and storage of test devices.

Original Abstract Submitted

a support holder for a test device is disclosed, wherein the holder may include a base having a first plurality of sidewalls having a first length and a second plurality of sidewalls having a second length, wherein the second length is greater than the first length, wherein the plurality of sidewalls define a cavity in the base, the cavity including a surface for receiving a portion of the test device; and a plurality of projections extending away from the base, wherein each projection of the plurality of projections is configured to be associated with a leg portion, and wherein a first sidewall of the first plurality of sidewalls includes a center notch positioned between a first corner portion and a second corner portion, and wherein a second sidewall of the first plurality of sidewalls includes a removable portion configured to cover an opening into an interior of the base.
