CLOTHING TREATMENT APPARATUS - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17920674 titled 'CLOTHING TREATMENT APPARATUS

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a clothing treatment apparatus that includes a tub, a drum, a balancer, and a chamber.

  • The drum is cylindrical in shape and can be opened upward. It is rotatably disposed in the tub.
  • The balancer is fixed to the upper portion of the drum and extends along its circumference. It provides a channel that communicates with the inner space of the drum.
  • The chamber is formed inside the balancer and extends along its length. It consists of a lower portion called the first chamber and an upper portion called the second chamber.
  • The width of the first chamber is greater than the width of the second chamber.

Potential applications of this technology:

  • Home laundry machines: The clothing treatment apparatus can be incorporated into home washing machines to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of clothes washing.
  • Commercial laundry facilities: The apparatus can be used in commercial laundry facilities to handle large volumes of clothes and provide better treatment results.

Problems solved by this technology:

  • Uneven treatment: The apparatus ensures that clothes are treated evenly by providing a balanced and controlled environment within the drum.
  • Tangling and damage: The design of the apparatus reduces the risk of clothes tangling or getting damaged during the treatment process.

Benefits of this technology:

  • Improved cleaning performance: The balanced and controlled environment within the drum ensures that clothes are treated more effectively, resulting in better cleaning performance.
  • Reduced wear and tear: The reduced risk of clothes tangling or getting damaged helps prolong the lifespan of garments.
  • Time and energy efficiency: The apparatus optimizes the treatment process, reducing the time and energy required for clothes washing.
