ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SPEAKER MODULE - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17980940 titled 'ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING SPEAKER MODULE

Simplified Explanation

The abstract describes an electronic device with a housing that includes a speaker hole and a vibration motor structure. The device also includes an enclosure surrounding the speaker and vibration motor, a sound absorbing structure, and a protection structure overlapping a motor ventilation hole.

  • The electronic device has a housing with a speaker hole and a vibration motor structure.
  • A speaker is present in the device to emit sound signals through the speaker hole.
  • The vibration motor structure includes multiple side surfaces and a motor ventilation hole.
  • An enclosure is provided in the housing, surrounding the speaker and vibration motor.
  • A sound absorbing structure is included in the enclosure to absorb sound.
  • A protection structure is present in the enclosure, overlapping the motor ventilation hole.

Potential Applications

  • This technology can be used in smartphones, tablets, or other electronic devices that require speakers and vibration motors.
  • It can be applied in gaming devices, where sound and vibration feedback are important for an immersive experience.
  • The technology can also be used in wearable devices, such as smartwatches or fitness trackers, to provide audio and vibration alerts.

Problems Solved

  • The enclosure and sound absorbing structure help to reduce unwanted noise and vibrations, improving the overall sound quality of the device.
  • The protection structure overlapping the motor ventilation hole prevents dust or debris from entering the device, ensuring the longevity of the speaker and vibration motor.

Benefits

  • The sound absorbing structure enhances the audio experience by reducing external noise interference.
  • The protection structure prevents damage to the speaker and vibration motor by blocking the entry of dust or debris.
  • The overall design of the device provides a more compact and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

Original Abstract Submitted
