ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF - A simplified explanation of the abstract

This abstract first appeared for US patent application 17439663 titled 'ELECTRONIC APPARATUS AND CONTROLLING METHOD THEREOF

Simplified Explanation

The patent application describes a method for controlling an electronic apparatus using voice input and adjusting the output state based on the type of ambient noise detected.

  • Detect voice input from a user
  • Perform voice recognition on the detected voice input
  • Output information corresponding to the result of the voice recognition
  • Identify the type of ambient noise detected by the electronic apparatus
  • Change the output state of the information based on the type of ambient noise

Potential Applications

  • Smart home devices: Voice-controlled appliances and systems can adjust their output based on the surrounding noise to ensure clear communication with the user.
  • Automotive systems: In-car voice control systems can adapt their output based on the noise level inside the vehicle, providing a better user experience.
  • Public announcement systems: The technology can be used to adjust the volume or clarity of announcements based on the ambient noise in public spaces.

Problems Solved

  • Improved user experience: By adjusting the output state based on ambient noise, the technology ensures that the information provided to the user is clear and easily understandable.
  • Noise interference reduction: The system can adapt to different noise environments, reducing the impact of ambient noise on voice recognition accuracy.

Benefits

  • Enhanced communication: Users can receive information from the electronic apparatus in a clear and intelligible manner, even in noisy environments.
  • Improved accuracy: By considering the type of ambient noise, the system can optimize voice recognition performance, leading to more accurate results.
  • Versatility: The method can be applied to various electronic apparatuses, making it a flexible solution for different industries and use cases.

Original Abstract Submitted

A method for controlling an electronic apparatus is disclosed. The method for controlling an electronic apparatus includes detecting a voice input of a user; based on detecting the voice input of the user, performing voice recognition with respect to the voice input of the user; outputting information corresponding to a result of the voice recognition; identifying a type of ambient noise detected by the electronic apparatus; and changing an output state of the information corresponding to the result of the voice recognition based on the type of the ambient noise.
