the technology of this application relates to the field of wireless fidelity (wi-fi) technologies, and provides a method for transmitting a physical layer protocol data unit, a method for transmitting a trigger frame, and an apparatus, to resolve a problem that it is difficult to ensure data transmission reliability of an extremely high throughput physical layer protocol data unit (ppdu) for multi-user transmission in a low power indoor (lpi) operation mode in the conventional technology. the method includes: an access point generates an extremely high throughput multiple user physical layer protocol data unit (eht mu ppdu), where the eht mu ppdu includes a resource unit allocation subfield indicating resource unit allocation of a plurality of stations, and a resource unit corresponding to at least one of the plurality of stations is used for duplicate transmission; and sends the eht mu ppdu.
