The method also includes, in response to determining that the one or more radar modules are to be activated: activating all of the one or more radar modules in a time sequence, one or multiple radar modules at a time; determining a power backoff for at least one communication module of the UE; and determining a UE uplink (UL) beam, a UE downlink (DL) beam, a base station (BS) UL beam, and a BS DL beam based on the power backoff and a sweeping of beams of the UE. The sweeping occurs for the beams of the UE that have a power backoff that is less than a threshold.
